Peugeot E-308 with new electric powertrain goes on sale

The all-electric hatchback with 257 miles of range is the latest addition to Peugeot's lineup of refreshed EVs

Peugeot’s work on its all-electric lineup is continuing over to the C-segment, with the all-new E-308 with an electric powertrain now open for orders, priced from £40,050.

The French car manufacturer has been busy with updates all across its electric lineup. The B-segment supermini and 2020 Car of the Year award winner E-208 was recently given a fresh facelift. And just last week, Peugeot revealed the E-3008, an electric crossover with a brand-new fastback aero SUV design, rapid-fast charging and a mammoth 435 miles of range.

The latest addition to this expanding lineup of exciting electric vehicles is the E-308, Peugeot’s first all-electric C-segment hatchback, powered by a new electric powertrain consisting of a 115kW (156hp) electric motor and a 54kWh battery providing a range of up to 257 miles (WLTP). A heat pump is included as standard for greater efficiency and comfort.

The new E-308 features the new brand emblem in the centre of the large vertical grille, while the fang-shaped daytime running lights frame the LED headlights, which are available with new Matrix LED Technology on GT trim for improved visibility at night.

The rear features Peugeot’s distinctive three-claw light signature, while the ‘E’ badge signifies the all-electric version of the 308. A new 18-inch ‘Ottawa’ diamond cut alloy wheel has also been specifically developed for E-308 for improved aerodynamic efficiency.

There’s increased space now too, with 34 litres of storage, as well as heated front seats and steering wheel, and USB-C phone chargers. And with the MyPeugeot app on the phone, drivers can view the battery charge status, start charging remotely,  schedule a charging session and program the pre-conditioning system.

The new E-308 is now open for orders, available to order from Peugeot Retailers or via Peugeot’s Buy Online platform. Prices begin from £40,050, and are available with a choice of three trim levels from launch: Allure, GT and, for a limited time, First Edition.
